Another crap flight over. The average age on the flight was 15, a school field trip returning. The teachers had no control over the kids whatsoever!
Now sat on the Heathrow express train, it's the lap of luxury compared to the plane and my normal commuter train. Even got tv!
Can't wait to get home, tired and stressed from travelling, plus it's really hot here in the uk!

Blue lagoon. Imagine a giant hot tub where the temperature varies by area, but randomly. One minute you could be in a cold spot and just a couple of yards away is a spot that's unbearably hot! It's just a case of swiming around til you find the right temperature for you. There's buckets of silica mud around for you to smear on your skin, and a waterfall, massages and a generally relaxing atmosphere.
Could easily spend all day there!
On way to airport now with a stomach full of the Icelandic delicacy - hot dogs! They're cheap and very tasty, apparently the only way to eat them is with the works. That's 2 types of onion, relish, bacon and 3 unidentifiable sauces.

Had a short break after the jeep tour and then headed down town, camera in hand to capture reykjavik at night.
Very quiet in town again, but this time it was mostly americans. Checked out a couple of bars and took lots of photos. In the bars i had a pint of guinness and a shot of the Icelandic "black death" schnapps.
People will on doubt be wondering about the legendary Icelandic women... Well, i've seen very few and yes some are very beautiful, however it seems that if they put on any weight, the first place it goes is their neck. I'd say that about half the Icelandic women i've seen have been skinny with double chins. On the other hand i've seen supermarket check out girls who'd look more at home on the catwalk!

Super jeep adventure in jeeps that are positively super!
Sitting on 46inch tires and uprated suspension, these vehicles had about 2 foot on my, now seemingly inadequate, mitsi.
Stops today included the national park, on top of a glacier (cue snowball fight), a waterfall that comes from beneath the ground, europe's most active natural hot spring (mostly tapped for geo-thermal power) and the old whaling station that's reopened since Iceland's return to hunting whales last week (first whale recieved yesterday).

This place is a Fucking ghost town.
Apparently it's cos of the festival and it's a sunday.
I was even able to get a seat and table in the infamous yet tiny sirkus!
Oh well, at least i saved some money and won't be hung over for the super jeep tour tomorrow.

Wow! This country is so beautiful!
Today i've walked behind a waterfall, on beaches with black sand, on a glacier and visited a museum. Bloke who ran museum started it himself when he was 14 and was completely mad! Apparently he's 95, but has the energy of someone much younger. Had to rush through tour occasionally saying things like "here is some stuff" and "this is not important"... Felt a bit sorry for him trying to show his life's work in an hour.
Been colder today and a bit cloudy, but still, wow! So far taken 423 photos, that's nearly 1gb... Sure they won't all come out, so i've doubled up on some.
Not sure what to do tonight, in drinking or have an early night...
Had a late one last night, got back to the hotel and turned on the tv. Big mistake! They were showing the boxing and valuev was slowly demolishing some guy. Couldn't tell much as it was a V.bad picture...
Also found that IS SIMINN mobile network uses o2 mobileweb settings! I can now surf the web atop a glacier! I have never had less than full signal, but not seen 1 mast. Uk could learn from these people.

Another even earlier start, up at 7am today for the south island tour.
